Cold Electric, under the leadership of Chairwoman Dr. Margaret Wang, has been featured in a  business publication highlighting our journey from a modest research team to becoming a leading force in Taiwan's energy storage sector. As the daughter of Formosa Plastics’ founder Wang Yung-Ching, Dr. Wang has guided Cold Electric through nearly two decades of growth and innovation.

The article details Cold Electric's technology evolution, noting our strategic decision to focus on lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries after exploring various chemistries. Our proprietary LFP cells, designed with advanced safety features to prevent thermal runaway and fire hazards, have received prestigious UL safety certifications in both Taiwan and the United States.

Our ambitious expansion plans are also highlighted, including the new Taoyuan Guanyin factory with its impressive 6GWh annual production capacity - enough to power approximately 2,000 households for a full year. This facility strengthens our position as a domestic leader while supporting our growing presence in international markets such as Japan and the U.S.

The publication recognizes our success factors: technical innovation, vertical integration, and unwavering commitment to locally manufactured, high-quality products. Cold Electric continues to secure significant projects with domestic utilities, municipalities, and industrial clients, while simultaneously building our global market footprint.

We are proud to be recognized as an example of how Taiwanese innovation and perseverance can create a globally competitive clean energy enterprise.
