In the face of climate change and extreme weather, energy storage plays a critical role in enabling renewable adoption, reducing carbon emissions, and strengthening energy resilience. Cold Electric is leading the way with its patented lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology, engineered for maximum safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Unlike conventional lithium batteries that carry fire risks, Cold Electric’s proprietary flame-retardant electrolyte formula and pouch-cell design ensure that our cells remain stable, operating at lower temperatures and delivering optimal storage efficiency. In the rare event of thermal runaway, our batteries emit only smoke, never open flames.

Our strategy is built around three pillars:

  1. Ultra-safe cell design – proprietary electrolyte and pouch structure deliver industry-leading fire protection.
  2. Locally developed and manufactured in Taiwan – ensuring strict quality control and enabling Cold Electric to become one of the first companies to achieve full cell-to-system safety certifications.
  3. Cost competitiveness through scale – with our first factory reaching 350MWh capacity in 2024 and a second factory planned to expand to 1.8GWh by 2026.
