In House
In a recent report by Hoo Media, leading representatives from Taiwan’s industry, government, academia, and research gathered at the Presidential Office to provide recommendations on strengthening fire safety and disaster prevention policies. The meeting, attended by President Lai Ching-te, underscored the nation’s commitment to advancing public safety and resilience against emerging risks.
A central focus was the university’s collaboration with Cold Electric, which has jointly verified the reliability of flame-retardant lithium battery technology. Our breakthrough not only delivers concrete solutions to the pressing challenge of lithium battery fire hazards but also showcases the powerful results of academic–industry cooperation.
Professor He also pointed out that fire safety work is vital to public protection, industrial sustainability, and Taiwan’s global competitiveness. The event further highlighted challenges faced by private universities in cultivating fire safety professionals, with calls for greater government support and the proposed upgrade of the Nantou Zhushan Training Center into an Indo-Pacific Fire Prevention and Firefighting Research Service Center.
As an active partner in these efforts, Cold Electric is proud to contribute to safer, more sustainable energy solutions. By working closely with leading academic institutions and supporting government-led safety initiatives, we remain committed to building a safer and more resilient future for Taiwan and the Indo-Pacific region.
